Getting Started
How much does your service cost?
My consultation and travel planning services are completely free for most holiday bookings. I'm paid by commission from suppliers, which means you get expert advice and personalised service at no extra cost. For very complex itineraries or accommodation-only bookings, I may charge a small planning fee, which I'll always discuss with you upfront.
How do I get started?
Simply get in touch! You can call, email, or use my contact form. I'll arrange a convenient time to chat about your travel dreams, either over the phone, via video call, or in person if you're local to Bishop's Stortford. There's no pressure - I'm happy to provide initial advice even if you're just exploring options.
Do you only work with people in Bishop's Stortford?
Not at all! While I'm based in Bishop's Stortford, I work with clients all over the UK. Most of our communication can be done by phone, email, or video call. I'm also happy to meet clients in the London area or Cambridge if that's more convenient.

This depends on the complexity of your trip. For straightforward holidays, I can often provide quotes within 24-48 hours. For complex multi-destination trips or bespoke itineraries, it might take a few days to research and put together the perfect options. I always keep you updated on progress.
Can you beat prices I find online?
Often, yes! As an independent agent, I have access to trade rates and exclusive deals not available to the public. Even when prices are similar, you get so much more value - expert advice, personalised service, full protection, and support if anything goes wrong. It's not just about price - it's about the complete experience.
What happens if I need to make changes?
Life happens, and I understand that! I'll help you with any changes needed, whether it's dates, destinations, or requirements. Some changes may incur supplier fees or cancellation charges, but I'll always check what's possible and keep any costs to a minimum. Having me as your agent makes changes much easier than dealing with multiple suppliers yourself.
Payment & Protection
How and when do I pay?
I'll provide flexible payment options to suit you. Typically, you'll pay a deposit to secure your booking (usually around 20-25% for package holidays), with the balance due 6-8 weeks before departure. I can arrange payment plans as required. Please note that deposit amounts and payment deadlines can vary with each holiday depending on the supplier and destination.
Is my money safe?
Absolutely! All my bookings are protected by ABTA and ATOL (where applicable). This means your money is completely safe, and you have comprehensive protection throughout your journey. These are government-backed schemes that protect millions of UK holidaymakers every year.
What if something goes wrong while I'm away?
You'll never be alone! I provide around the clock support, and with ABTA/ATOL protection, you have access to emergency assistance if needed. I'll work with suppliers to resolve any issues and ensure you get the holiday you've paid for.
Do I need travel insurance?
Yes, I always recommend comprehensive travel insurance. While ABTA/ATOL protect your booking, travel insurance covers medical emergencies, personal belongings, and other unforeseen circumstances. I can help you choose the right policy for your specific needs.

What support do you provide while I'm away?
I'm available for any issues that arise during your trip. Flight delays, accommodation problems, missed connections - I'll work with suppliers to resolve issues quickly and minimise disruption to your holiday.
Can you help with special requests?
Absolutely! Anniversary dinners, special dietary requirements, accessibility needs, birthday surprises - I can arrange all sorts of special touches to make your holiday truly memorable.
Do you arrange airport transfers?
Yes! I can arrange all ground transportation - airport transfers, car rentals, private drivers, train tickets. I prefer to offer complete door-to-door service so you don't have to worry about any aspect of your journey.

How do you understand what I want?
I take time to really listen! I'll ask about your travel style, interests, budget, must-haves and definitely-nots. I want to understand what makes the perfect holiday for you specifically. The more you tell me, the better I can tailor my recommendations.
What if I'm not sure what I want?
That's perfectly fine! Many clients come to me with just a vague idea - "somewhere warm in October" or "a romantic getaway". Part of my job is helping you discover what type of holiday would suit you best. I'll ask the right questions and suggest options you might not have considered.
Can you arrange complex multi-destination trips?
Yes, this is one of my specialties! Multi-destination trips can be incredibly complex to arrange yourself, but I love the challenge. From round-the-world adventures to European grand tours, I'll create seamless itineraries with perfect connections and timing.
Do you work with groups?
Absolutely! I arrange group holidays for families, friends, special interest groups, and celebrations. I understand that groups have different needs and preferences, and I'm experienced in managing complex group dynamics and requirements.
